Jack Perkins took out a clean-sweep at the first round of the Kerrick Sports Sedans National Series at Sandown Raceway, winning all three races to put him first in the championship.
The Holden Racing Team endurance driver fended off nine-time Sports Sedan national champion Tony Ricciardello, and David Wall in his father's Corvette in what was a strong weekend of racing between all three.
Perkins took out the prestigious Des Wall Trophy in Race 3, but it was Wall's family spirit that pushed the New South Welshman to second for the final race of the weekend.
Western Australian Ricciardello finished second for the weekend, just one point in front of Wall.
Victorians Daniel and Steven Tamasi finished fourth and fifth respectively for the round, with Tasmanian Bruce Banks finishing sixth in his Mazda RX7.
Peter McLeod was the first MARC car entry with seventh outright, ahead of Stuart Inwood, Dean Camm and Michael Robinson completing the top ten.
The next round of the Kerrick Sports Sedans is at Winton Motor Raceway on June 10-12.
