KERRICK SPORTS SEDAN Series contender Darren Hossack looks likely to miss at least the next few rounds of the 2015 series after sustaining injuries in a Speedway crash at the weekend.
Hossack was involved in a nasty crash in a heat race at Victoria's Simpson Speedway and suffered injuries to both knees in the subsequent impact.
"Darren had a nasty crash in the second heat and as a result has ended up in hospital," said a Hossack Motor Sport representative on the team's Facebook page.
"Scans show one fractured knee and one broken knee. Thanks to the Simpson Speedway staff and all our friends, crew and amazing sponsors for all your support and messages."
The accident adds to what was already a tough start to the 2015 season for the two-time series champion, first a fire and then a puncture derailing his opening round at Sandown two weeks ago, despite being in a race winning position at several points throughout the weekend.
