Jack Perkins took out a clean-sweep at the first round of the National Sports Sedans National Series at Wakefield Park, winning all three races to put him first in the championship.
Perkins also took out the prestigious Des Wall Trophy in Race 3.
Perkins proved unstoppable in the combined round with the NSW Sports Sedan Championship, it was a faultless weekend for Perkins and the John Gourlay Audi team.
Equally as dominant in the NSW Sport Sedan championship was National and State runner Birol Cetin. Not only being the fastest qualifying state level entrant and winner of the three NSW state level races, Cetin finished second in the National Series. Kerry Baily rounded out the top 3 despite making a late race challenge in Race 3 for 2nd place.
Victorian Michael Robinson and his Holden Monaro took out the first ever SS2 Trophy with a consistant weekend.
The next Round (Round 2) of the National Sports Sedan Series will be at Winton Raceway, June 17-18. This will be another combined round, this time with the Victorian State Series.
